Friday Night Sweeper Rules 1. Pre-registration is preferred and is located on tournamentbowl.com. Walk-ins are allowed if there are open spots available. Pre-registered bowlers will have priority over walk-in bowlers. If Pre-registered bowlers have taken all available spots, walk-in will be accepted if pre-registered bowlers havent arrived and/or cant be contacted by 10 minutes before practice. 2. A: The Friday sweepers will consist of bowling 4 (four) games, moving one pair to the right each game. If there is a lane breakdown that requires a buffer pair to be used, each bowler from the moved pair will be allowed 1 (one) ball on each lane for practice. Even tho this is considered practice, no surface chnages can be made to any equipment during this time. B: If a buffer pair is utilized, the bowlers will then continue back to the assigned lane assignments after bowling on the buffer lane. Example: lanes 3/4 break down and bowlers have to move to 15/16 to finish their game. After the conclusion of the game, the bowlers will then be moving to 5/6 to bowl their next game. The bowlers on 1/2 would then move to 15/16 for their next game and then the following game continue to 5/6 C: Upon the use of a buffer lane, one ball of practice on each lane will be allowed before the start of each game until the conclusion of the sweeper. This is optional for each bowler. Bowlers may opt out of taking the practice ball. D: Once a lane breakdowns and a buffer pair is used, the broken down pair will be taken out of play for the rest of the night, unless another lane breaksdown and the lane is back in operational status. 3. The Handicap will be 90% of 230. Bowlers will use the following average guidelines, in this order: a. Average decided by the tournament director, whether a re-rate or based upon other information. b. 12 game established tournament average c. highest bowl.com latest year established average of at least 15 games. d. current league standing sheet from the latest week bowled, showing current amount of games in the league bowled. The average given by the tournament director is final. Once a bowler starts bowling, there will be no refunds. If a bowler wants to inquire about what average they will be using, they can do so with the tournament director prior to the tournament. The earlier the inquiry is made, the better. walking in 10 minutes before the start of practice is not the time to inquire about which average a bowler will be using. Note: As averages are being verified, standings and bracket scores can change results as averages are being verified and updated in the system. 4. Check-in will begin at 6pm and practice will begin at 7pm. Late entries will be accepted by the tournament director on a case by case basis. 5. All side action regarding bowlers' bowled scores will close at the conclusion of practice. All side action must also be paid for by the time the bowler rolls their first ball of competition. Bracket refunds will be given while bowlers are bowling and will be deleivered to them by the tournament director. If a bowler is wanting to max out in brackets, they will need to provide enough funds to enter and then get refunded while they are bowling. 6. Every entry into the sweeper is pooled into a mixed drawing for bowling balls or equipment. The mixed drawing contains entries from this sweeper and the sweepers held on Mondays. There is no purchase necessary for the drawing and is completely promotional. Entry into the Monday or Friday sweepers is required to be entered into the mixed drawing. The bowler will get an entry into this drawing for each sweeper entered. The drawing will take place on the final sweeper on Monday. 7. The Friday sweeper will have a pay ratio of 1:5. The last cash spot is guarunteed back at least entry. There is a guarunteed 1st place prize of $200 with a minimum of 15 entries. 8. The winner will be decided by a 4 game total pinfall with handicap. It is the bowler's responsisbility to verify their score is written correctly on the scoresheet and on the standings. If a correction needs to be made, the director needs to be notified immediately. Once payout has started, corrections will not be able to be made. It is the bowler's resposibility to verify their scoresheet and final standings before payout to ensure they were entered accurately. 9.
